Symbiotic tactics
Symbiotic tactics is a Postdoctoral project (2013-2016) financed by the Swedish Research Council. The project is structured through three subprojects, Doomestics, Dispersal Machines, and Spices/Species, each of these developed to design responses to socio-ecological issues at a particular scale, ranging from the intimate relation we establish with plant chemistry by ingesting them, to the detached relation of urban dwellers to the ecologies of the agricultural industry.
The projects are design-driven and developed through a speculative practice that aims at making explicit alternative versions of the present/near future, becoming an experimental platform to reimagine aspects of everyday life. The project is particularly critical of systems that are exclusively anthropocentric at the expense of other forms of life.
