Spices-Species has been developed in Argentina, within the context of my postdoctoral project entitled Symbiotic tactics (2013-2016). Four native species of the region of Córdoba where originally studied: Tagetes minuta, Caesalpinia gilliiesi, Nicotiana glauca and Passiflora caerulea.

Spices-Species addresses an intimate level of human relationship with nonhuman beings, that of the plants that are eaten as food or used for medicinal purposes and the ecosystem functions they perform through forms of symbioses with, for example, insects and parasitoids.
